Château Lamothe de Haux

Visit Château Lamothe de Haux is located in the commune of Haux, on the right bank of the Garonne, south-east of Bordeaux. The vineyard covers 80 hectares of vines in the following appellations Côtes de Bordeaux Cadillac and Bordeaux, on clay-limestone soils. The Château Lamothe de Haux is a house whose foundations date back to the 16th century. Since 1956, four generations of the same family have succeeded one another. Today, Anne Neel is at the helm, accompanied by her children Maria and Damien Chombart. Since 2017, Maria and Damien Chombart, owners of Château Lamothe de Haux have been keen to highlight the noble Bordeaux grape varieties of Semillon, Merlot and Cabernet, while breaking with classic Bordeaux codes. The château's trading arm, "Les Vins choisis", now offers red and white Bordeaux under the Madame Étienne brand, in homage to the estate's owner in the 1920s.
