"A great outsider on the Right Bank!

"Obvious freshness from the first moment, lots of body to the tasty red fruits. Everything is in balance and you get both juice, gourmet touches of deepening chocolate shavings and salinity as it develops to the finish. Great stuff and low SO2 additions." (Decanter 2020) - Delivery in wooden case for orders of 12 bottles of this wine (Excluding Point Relais delivery method)

Rated 91/100

Domaine rated 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)

About the wine:

Great floral delicacy on the nose and palate, supported by fresh, elegant, perfectly calibrated tannins.

About the domain :

Juliette Bécot, whose family also owns Château Beauséjour-Bécot in Saint-Émilion, signs the wine of this 12-hectare estate, which she bought in 2001. It's a Castillon with a gourmet, charming profile that's open and honest.

About the wine:

A fragrant nose of cherries, blackcurrants, plums, violets, clay and cake spices. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Fruity and balanced, with a fresh, supple finish. Drink from 2023.

Yves Beck

Wine rated (guide 2021) 92/100

About the wine:

The bouquet of Joanin Bécot creates a beautiful symbiosis of freshness, minerality and fruit. Notes of graphite are followed by mint and dark berries. On the palate, the wine has character and drive. This is due to the tension of its acid structure, while the tannins add body. Fruity, juicy finish. 2023-2034

Vert de Vin

Vert de Vin

Rated wine (2020 guide) 94/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)

About the wine:

The nose is fine, elegant and offers racy power, intensity, a little power and a feeling of tension. There are notes of bright blackcurrant, small black berries and, more lightly, blueberry, combined with touches of bright blue plum, bright cherry/cherry and fine hints of violet, camphor, zan and a very discreet hint of sweet spices. The palate is elegant, gourmand, nicely defined, elegant and offers precision, a lovely finesse of suavity, a lovely finesse of grain, fine tension and delicacy. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of bright blackberry, bright blackcurrant and, more lightly, small blue berries, combined with very discreet hints of blond tobacco and sweet/toasted spices. Good length. Elegant, racy, structuring tannins.

Note and review by M. GILLES D. Published on 24/07/2023

A wine of excellence, with a charming presentation and an expressive, complex bouquet of black berries, pepper, tobacco, cloves... Equally distinguished on the palate, with remarkable finesse and suppleness, it develops an exquisite, delectable blend of acidic, highly concentrated flavors of raspberry, cherry, plum, blackcurrant and blood orange, combined with notes of light tobacco and white pepper on a fine mineral framework with a chalky touch. The polished, powdery tannins, with their well-tuned woodiness, rise to a crescendo, exuding extraordinary juiciness and providing just the right amount of acidic, invigorating freshness with sapidity. Refinement is pushed to the extreme, right through to the silky, caressing finish, lifted by a sparkling fruitiness. It's so chic, it's so elegant. A beautifully charming Castillon with a good R. Q/P., even more so on this exceptional 2019 vintage, promising a long future. Tasted with the family after decanting for 1 h, with farm rabbit with green olives, accompanied by pieces of potato sautéed in butter. Score = 4.2.
