"It's a beautiful white that deserves your full attention! ~ Jeb Dunnuck "
"Marjosse Blanc 2023 is delicious. Crisp, lively and inviting, 2023 will make a delicious aperitif white wine for years to come. Crushed stones, mint, white pepper and lime bring lovely nuances throughout the tasting. The floral top notes and tropical nuances really explode on the finish." Château Marjosse
Entre-deux-Mers
Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
3*Star rating (High-quality production, a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
Pierre Lurton, also director of Château Cheval Blanc and president of Château d'Yquem, bought Château Marjosse over twenty years ago, seduced by the old vines and the quality of the terroir: quite rare in the Entre-Deux-Mers region, asteriated limestone, the same that makes Saint-Emilion famous, is found here in outcrop. The quality and consistency of this wine, both white and red, is astonishing. The wines are remarkably balanced and pure. Vibrant fruit, silky, harmonious texture, great drinkability, while demonstrating a fine aptitude for ageing.

About the wine:
Although initially a little varietal aromatically, with Sauvignon Blanc in the foreground, as it rests in the glass, I appreciate the subtle energy and opulence coming from the Semillons, which exude white stone fruit, but also lemon zest and lots of tonic freshness on the medium finish. Aged for several months on lees in concrete tanks, with regular stirring of the lees, and only 5% aged in oak barrels. A wine to enjoy on its own or with pan-fried scallops and risotto. 2025-2030

Always terrific, Château Marjosse Blanc 2023 is no exception, displaying vibrant notes of crushed citrus, lemon zest and minty herbs in its medium-bodied, bright, racy and mineral profile. It's a magnificent white that deserves your full attention.

Lemon, grapefruit and green apple invade the nose. On the palate, the wine is fresh, lively and crisp, with crunchy green apples and lemon juice on the finish. Easy to drink, this is an excellent summer wine to accompany seafood or simply for pleasure. Drink between 2025 and 2030.
