Entre-deux-Mers
The Entre-Deux-Mers AOC covers the entire Gironde wine-growing area between the Dordogne and Garonne rivers, hence its name. The soils are predominantly clay-limestone. In this region of fragmented vineyards, there are many winegrowers and the average vineyard area is small. This allows growers to pamper their vines. They often join cooperatives, which take care of the vinification.

Sauvignon is the king of the Entre-deux-Mers region. It is often the subject of a special process during vinification: pellicular maceration. The resulting wines are highly perfumed, lively but not overly nervous, well-balanced and full-bodied. Sauvignon is mainly combined with Semillon, which gives roundness and power. Muscadelle is an additional grape variety in the blend, adding pleasant wild and musky notes.

Entre-deux-Mers wines are exclusively white. Their aromatic palette plays with notes of citrus, yellow flowers and exotic fruit. On the palate, they are supple, lively and refreshingly thirst-quenching.
