"Already noted last year, this 2011 confirms its ageing qualities. One year on, it retains its fleshiness with tannins that are still firm. On the palate, however, it offers very intense concentration on the attack, with tannins that hold on to spicy notes on the finish. A harmonious wine with good potential" (Le Guide des bonnes affaires du vin 2015 - Gerbelle & Maurange). A good bet for this racy cuvée, sure to delight Haut-Médoc enthusiasts. Delivery in wooden case for orders delivered in France of 6 bottles of this wine.

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated 14/20 (Good wine)
Domaine rated (2016 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))
About the wine:
Fruity and dense, a little firm in its tannins, it will need to wait a little.
About the domain :
Situated in the southern Médoc, this vast 60-hectare vineyard, ideally located near Châteaux Giscours and Cantemerle on the Macau hillside, is rightly gaining in renown. Since 1996, it has belonged to Jean-Pierre Marie, who works in partnership with his son Nicolas.

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine noté (guide 2016) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
For several years now, this well-situated vineyard on the edge of the Margaux appellation has been producing a wine offering remarkable value for money. Under the guidance of Annick and Jean-Pierre Marie, it has gradually found its feet, and the aging of the vineyard has enabled it to reach a very high level, in a style that is seductive but not without finesse.
