"A spectacular wine that's hard not to like! ~ James Suckling "

"Close to some of Margaux's finest vineyards, this estate regularly produces fine wines. This cuvée is nicely structured, with firm tannins but also generous black fruit. A high percentage of Merlot makes for a particularly ripe, juicy wine that will age well over the medium term." (Wine Enthusiast 2018) - Delivery in wooden case possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected)

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (2016 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))

About the domain :

Situated in the southern Médoc, this vast 60-hectare vineyard, ideally located near Châteaux Giscours and Cantemerle on the Macau hillside, is rightly gaining in renown. Since 1996, it has belonged to Jean-Pierre Marie, who works in partnership with his son Nicolas.

Domaine noté (guide 2016) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).

About the wine:

The 2015 offers a beautiful elegance, a depth of mouth that suits the vintage and gives it a lovely charm.

About the domain :

For several years now, this well-situated vineyard on the edge of the Margaux appellation has been producing a wine offering remarkable value for money. Under the guidance of Annick and Jean-Pierre Marie, it has gradually found its feet, and the ageing of the vineyard now enables it to reach a very high level, in a style that is seductive, but not without finesse.

Rated wine (2018 guide) 91/100

About the wine:

Big black fruit and a ton of ripe tannins make this a spectacular wine that would be hard not to love. The balance is really good, making it delicious right now. If it were a little more complex, it would be even better rated.

Yves Beck

Yves Beck

Rated wine (2017 guide) 93/100

About the wine:

Garnet-red with violet highlights. Intense, complex bouquet. Notes of cinnamon, toast, blackberries, raspberries and licorice. Creamy and fruity on the palate. The palate is balanced and perfectly supported by the structure, which gives it breed and carries the fruit through to the finish. Elegant, fine-grained tannins. Very expressive aromatic character and intensely fruity, long finish. What a great success! 2020-2035

Vert de Vin

Vert de Vin

Rated wine (2016 guide) 92/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)

About the wine:

The nose is aromatic, offering little power and concentration. Blackberry and dark berry notes are combined with fine black tea, spice, wood and very discreet toasty notes. Fruity on the palate, with greediness, creaminess, freshness, tension, lovely texture and good substance. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fresh blackberry, crème de cassis and, to a lesser extent, fleshy strawberry, combined with hints of licorice, toasty wood and a discreet touch of milk chocolate on the finish. Fine, well-executed tannins. Good length and persistence.
