"A superb wine from an estate that has been producing consistently for almost two decades. A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc with a touch of Petit Verdot, this is a great, rich wine, a true revelation of the vintage, with abundant notes of blackberry, blueberry and infused flowers. This 2010 is medium to full-bodied, pure, very perfumed and capable of lasting at least a decade." (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker) - Delivery in wooden case for orders delivered in France of 6 bottles of this wine.

Expert opinion

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Wine rated (2015 guide) 15/20 (Very good wine)

About the wine:

Fruity, supple, suave, elegant palate. The tannic finish is rather imposing, so you'll need to wait a little to fully enjoy it.

Guide Hachette des vins

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine rated (2014 guide) 1*Star (Very successful wine)

About the wine:

Charmail (acquired in 2008 by Bernard d'Halluin) has always been very consistent in terms of quality, producing a wine in line with previous vintages, with an almost black color and a fresh, fruity bouquet. Powerful, rich and full-bodied, supported by fine, tight tannins and a seductive oakiness, this Haut-Médoc of character - "with body and spirit", as one taster summed it up - deserves a three- or four-year dormant period.

Gault & Millau Wine Guide

Guide des Vins Gault & Millau

Wine rated (2013 guide) 15/20 (Very good)

About the wine:

Charmail 2010 is certainly a fine bottle. With no dominant woodiness, the fruit expresses itself with finesse through fine acidity and a velvety texture. Crushed blackcurrant, incense and touches of fine vegetal set the aromatic tone. Wait three years and you'll be rewarded. Good value for money.
