"A wine of good concentration inherited from old vines, which immediately reveals a deep bouquet of ripe grapes underlined by melted oak. The palate, in unison, is fleshy, suave and powerful. Still harsh on the finish, it will benefit from ageing". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2015)

About the wine:
Véronique Gaboriaud-Bernard has been running this 10-hectare cru, acquired by her family in 1962, since 1976, and it has become a benchmark for Lalande. The other family estate, Ch. Matras, a Saint-Émilion grand cru, was sold to Canon in 2011.
A wine of good concentration inherited from old vines, which immediately reveals a deep bouquet of ripe grapes underlined by a melted woodiness. The palate, in unison, is fleshy, suave and powerful. Still harsh on the finish, it will benefit from ageing.
