"Nose of plum and leather, with a very ripe Cabernet signature. Round and suave on the palate, with a lovely ripeness, airy, drawn-out body, surrounded by rather fine but well-presented tannins. The whole is a little roasted". (Terre de Vins 2020) - Delivery in wooden case possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Wine rated (2020 guide) 93/100

Domaine rated (guide 2017) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)

About the wine:

The most complete balance of body, bouquet and tannin ever produced by this vintage at this stage. A must-buy for its astonishing value for money and its ageing potential, worthy of the very best crus classés.

About the domain :

Since the acquisition in 2006 by the Mommeja family (Hermès), the two brothers Laurent and Renaud have undertaken major renovations: firstly, to the technical facilities, vat room and cellar, while at the same time restructuring the vineyard. Caroline Artaud, technical director, has improved the wines with the help of renowned oenologist Éric Boissenot.

Estate rated (2017 guide) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with good production levels, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the domain :

The spectacular progress made by this Listrac estate, since its purchase by the Momméja family (Hermès), has made it one of the appellation's benchmarks. Renaud and his brother Laurent Momméja have spared no effort to enable the cru to express its full potential. The vineyard has been completely taken in hand, and a high-performance vinification facility has been built. An excellent value for money not to be missed.

Rated wine (guide 2022) 93/100

About the wine:

Lovely nose of plums, spices and dried flowers, followed by a medium body with creamy, refined tannins. Nice acidity on the finish. Needs only a few years to mature and deliver a fine glass.

Rated wine (guide 2022) 91/100

About the wine:

A nose of blue fruits, limpid and engaging. Pure and straightforward on the palate, with lovely fruit, raspberry and fresh wood notes. The finish could be more persistent.

Wine rated (2020 guide) 92/100

About the wine:

Very fine, delicate, aromatic nose of black fruit, blackcurrant, flowers, brightness and radiance. Full-bodied, straightforward, perfectly taut, with very fine tannins and a lingering finish. The brilliance of the nose is also felt on the palate. A great success. An estate that is becoming a benchmark in the appellation.
