Château des Cabans
Château de Cabans has been a family property since 1840, and was listed in the 7th edition of Féret in 1898. Château de Cabans almost disappeared after the First World War, its male heirs having fallen on the battlefields. Today, bought from Mr. Jean-Marie Aberne and operated by SCA Philippe Bérard since March 2003, this property expresses each Médoc vintage with finesse.

To this day, Château de Cabans remains one of the finest wines produced in the Médoc under the Crus bourgeois banner, and has been included in the new 2003 classification, which saw more than half of its former crus disappear for lack of notoriety or consistent quality. The fact that Château de Cabans has been maintained in this classification is proof of its quality, since it has been tasted vertically over 5 vintages, and has come out the better for it. Proof of this is its first official tasting in Le Point magazine, ranking it as a top-of-the-range Bordeaux product with excellent value for money.
