Château Grand-Puy Ducasse
Château Grand-Puy Ducasse was founded by Pierre Ducasse in the 18th century. The 40 hectares of Château Grand Puy Ducasse vineyards are spread over three large plots of land planted on siliceous-gravelly Garonne gravel in the Pauillac appellation in the Bordeaux region.

The vines of Château Grand-Puy Ducasse are adjacent to Mouton, Lafite and Pontet-Canet to the north. In the center, they occupy part of Bourdieu de Grand-Puy. To the south, they are located on the Saint-Lambert plateau.
With an average age of 25 years, they are divided between Cabernet Sauvignon (62%) and Merlot (38%), and produce a renowned AOC Pauillac 5th Cru Classé. Château Grand-Puy Ducasse is a must in the Pauillac appellation.

Since 2014, Anne Le Naour, with the help of Hubert de Boüard, has overseen vinification at Château Grand-Puy Ducasse.

"Iron fist in a velvet glove ~ TDV

"Dark and dense, the wine's color leaves no one indifferent, announcing a serious, deep wine. On the nose, black fruits (blueberry, blackcurrant liqueur) mingle with roasted, spicy and finely mentholated notes. A palette as broad as it is intense, infusing an imposing, full-bodied, powerful, very long palate with tight tannins. A (very) great Pauillac for laying down". (Guide Hachette des Vins - Edition 2024) - Delivery in wooden cases possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

A fine prelude to the château's grand vin, this classic Pauillac displays a lovely aromatic complexity, typical of the appellation's finest opuses. The palate reveals all the delicacy, aromas and harmony of a great bottle, with no need to wait. An immediate pleasure!

"A new master stroke, Grand-Puy Ducasse is made in a charming style for a Pauillac 2005. Deep ruby color, very concentrated, displays copious wood notes accompanied by black cherry, blackcurrant, velvety tannins, beautiful fruitiness. Drink now or cellar for 15-20 years". (Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate April 2008)
