"Fruity, spicy bouquet of good intensity. Notes of black berries and licorice. Charming character on the palate, where fullness and freshness create good balance. Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domain rated (2022 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production, a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
A new, ultra-modern vat room, luxurious and efficient, demonstrates the ambitions of new owner Jacky Lorenzetti. He clearly wants to produce one of the finest wines in his appellation, and has acquired very high-quality terroirs, close to Mouton-Rothschild, which should help him in his ambition. The technically brilliant wines are improving with each new vintage.
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rated (guide 2022) 1*Star (Very successful wine)
Domain rated (guide 2022) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the wine:
Although in the minority, Merlot is the first grape variety to express itself in the nascent bouquet, with a marked note of leather. With aeration, aromas of ripe fruit, spices and vanilla emerge. The palate is soft, suave and velvety, supported by round tannins and a fine freshness that stimulates the finish.
About the domain :
Françoise and Jacky Lorenzetti sold their real estate agency network (Foncia) and bought this château in 2009 from the Jugla family. They undertook major work in the vineyard and cellar (construction of a new winery by Jean-Michel Wilmotte) to restore the reputation of this cru, founded in 1810, whose vineyards now cover some 50 ha following the acquisition of new plots.

Domaine rated (2022 guide) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winegrowers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
Aromas of blackcurrant, lavender, dried leaves, spices and chocolate. Full-bodied, with firm, well-integrated tannins. Creamy and succulent, with a solid core of ripe fruit and a long finish.
About the domain :
It's undoubtedly one of the most spectacular developments in Bordeaux in recent years. Pédesclaux, acquired by Jacky Lorenzetti in 2009, has undergone a spectacular, state-of-the-art facelift, from vineyard to cellar. Under the leadership of Vincent Bache-Gabrielsen, the wines have progressed steadily, vintage after vintage, little by little. They are now more than worthy of their classification and, above all, have established themselves as remarkable value for money.

About the wine:

Jean-Marc Quarin
Wine rated (2021 guide) 93/100
About the wine:
Intense, deep, dark red. Moderately aromatic nose, very fresh and not at all sunny for the vintage. Floral and pure nuances. Delicate on entry, very aromatic in the middle, with a melting body and great smoothness on the finish, the wine stretches for a long time without any tannic angle, with depth of flavor. Decanting does not change it.
Anthocyanes - Yohan Castaing
Wine rated 95/ 100
About the wine:
Lovely nose of black fruit, flowers, graphite and spicy notes. Velvety, well-established palate with structuring tannins and good acidity. Dense yet elegant, powerful yet generous. Should mellow with age. For cellaring between 10 and 20 years. A very attractive Château Pédesclaux.
