"This is the second wine of Château Pibran, whose vineyards lie close to the Crus Classés Mouton and Lafite. Structured and dense, this is a solid, powerful wine, filled with juicy blackcurrant and generous tannins." (Wine Enthusiast 2015)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (2016 guide) Selected (An estate or house that has won us over with one or more wines from its production, without us being able to give a general opinion on the style of the entire range)
About the domain :
Owned by Axa, this vineyard is ideally situated on a gravelly hilltop, with such prestigious neighbors as Pontet-Canet and d'Armailhac. With the acquisition of Château Tour Pibran in 2001, the choice of parcels enabled Jean-René Matignon and the Pichon-Baron teams to select the best for Pibran and create a second wine.

Domaine rated (2016 guide) Selected (We remind you that this guide is a prize list, and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
Situated on the croup of Pontet-Canet and Armailhac, Pibran was bought by AXA Millésimes in 1987. Vinified by the excellent Jean-René Matignon, of Pichon-Longueville, the wine regularly stands out among the elite crus bourgeois, driven by a very classic Pauillac style, combining generosity and tannic structure. Full-bodied, full-bodied, quickly accessible, it ages well and gracefully.
