Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (2019 guide) 4*Stars (Very high quality producers, the glories of the French vineyard)
About the domain :
Its name is enough to describe the status this estate has occupied for thirty years. Here, everything verges on perfection: whites and reds are racy and sophisticated.

About the domain :
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine rated (2019 guide) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, because of their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the domain :
Bernard Magrez, who also owns Châteaux La Tour Carnet (Haut-Médoc) and Fombrauge (Saint-Émilion), has made this estate his flagship. Nothing is left to chance to produce the finest wine possible. The quest for optimum ripeness, hand de-stemming, luxurious ageing... This is the archetypal luxury Bordeaux, modern, immediately seductive and evolving with great charm. On the other side of the coin, some vintages have gone overboard. Time then sets things right and calms the wine's ardor, as the terroir eventually takes over. However, since the 2012 vintage, we've noticed a change in style, moving towards wines less marked by the sometimes excessive quest for ripeness, and towards less intense ageing, which is clearly evident in our latest tastings, particularly with the 2015 vintage. In small quantities, the estate produces a white (aged partly in ovoid concrete vats) with a delicate muskiness and elegance that place it at the top of the Sauvignon-dominated Graves.

Rated wine (2019 guide) 89/100
About the wine:
Light yellow with hints of gold. Bouquet of good intensity with citrus and hazelnut notes. Fruity, fruity attack. A balanced, fresh wine to be enjoyed in its youth. Persistent, fruity finish. Now - 2023
Jean-Marc Quarin
Rated wine (2019 guide) 89/100
About the wine:
Pale color. Medium-intensity Sauvignon nose. Smooth, tasty and very perfumed on the palate, with a fine note of orange. Good length, with ripe fruit flavors and energy.
Vert de Vin
Rated wine (2019 guide) 92/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)
About the wine:
The nose is fresh, offering fine concentration, richness and a little power. There are notes of fresh lemon, crisp vine peach and, more lightly, fresh apple, combined with fine hints of white flowers and a discreet touch of vanilla blossom. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers good definition, a fine juicy/acidic structure, tension, a little crispness, lovely freshness, roundness, fatness, smoothness, fine grain, elegance and fleshy, juicy fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy vine peach, fleshy/juicy apple and, more lightly, pear, combined with touches of ripe lemon and fine hints of ripe tangerine. The finish is very tightly wound.
