Château La Croix du Casse
Located to the south of the Pomerol commune, the Château La Croix du Casse produces exclusively red wines from nearly 9.5 hectares of vines. The terroir is composed of sandy gravel and iron dross. After belonging for several years to the Audy family (who also ran Château Clinet at the time), the Castéja family bought the Château La Croix du Casse in 2005.

Already the owners of the Batailley, Trottevieille and Lynch-Moussas Grands Crus Classés, the Castéja family's aim is to give the region a new lease of life. Château La Croix du Casse the prestige of yesteryear. A second wine, "Les Chemins de la Croix du Casse", is being produced to reserve the finest grapes for the grand vin. For more than 15 years, this Pomerol estate has benefited from historic family know-how.
Château La Croix du Casse produces pleasurable wines with fruity and floral notes. They can be cellared for 5 to 15 years.
