Château Peyroutas
Château Peyroutas is located on a sandy-gravelly area of the Saint Emilion Grand Cru appellation. It is part of the Terra Burdigala association, initiated by Stéphane Derenoncourt and François Thienpont, two wine enthusiasts and leading figures in the Bordeaux wine industry, which brings together winegrowers who adhere to the same quality criteria: respect for nature, limited yields, true terroir.

The Château Peyroutas vineyard extends over 3 hectares, predominantly planted with Merlot, and is south-facing, offering optimal sunshine. Each vine is carefully tended to ensure that the grapes express their terroir: short pruning, leaf thinning, thinning... Vinified by Stéphane Derenoncourt, this Saint-Emilion Grand Cru exalts finely toasted scents of coffee and mocha. On aeration, notes of black fruit tart appear, followed by frank flavors of burla cherry. The palate is powerful and broad, with aromatic nuances suggested by the nose: forest fruits, blueberries... The tannins are fine, and the aromas open out on finely spiced notes. The high proportion of Merlot (95%) brings roundness, suppleness and a silkiness that will make a perfect match with the famous Bordeaux-style ceps!
