"Le Beau Site 2014 has an intense bouquet of dark berries, with notes of undergrowth and cedar providing punch. The dense palate is underpinned by firm tannins, an abundance of blackberry and blueberry with a hint of spice on the finish. This Saint-Estèphe is well worth the detour: a Beau-Site considerably improved over older vintages and promised very fine longevity." (Wine Advocate 2017 - Robert Parker) An excellent value for money from the appellation!

Saint-Estèphe
Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2021) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
A magnificent chartreuse overlooking the river, Beau-Site enjoys one of the finest panoramic views in the northern part of the appellation. It belongs to Philippe Castéja, who also owns Châteaux Batailley and Trottevieille. The estate produces an elegant, racy wine, always full-bodied without being devoid of finesse or elegance. The estate has turned a corner.
