Château Cos d'Estournel
Château Cos d'Estounel is part of the Michel Reybier estates in the Saint-Estèphe appellation in the Bordeaux region. The Château Cos d'Estounel vineyard now covers 91 hectares. The vines are planted on the poor gravel soils of the hilltops and on the south-facing slopes. Cabernet Sauvignon (60% of the vineyard) finds its ideal soil here. On the eastern slopes and hillsides where the limestone bedrock of Saint-Estèphe outcrops, Merlot (40% of the vineyard) excels.

The winemaking process at Château Cos d'Estounel is adapted to the character of the harvest, favoring the expression of the Saint-Estèphe terroir. The wine is aged in new oak barrels, which discreetly enhance the aromas and flavors of the wine with just the right amount of woodiness. In the eyes of fine wine lovers, Château Cos d'Estournel has become the archetype of a certain style of virile elegance, where power does not exclude grace or smoothness.
