"Generosity and greed!"
"The De Padirac family has done an excellent job with their vineyard on a gravel plateau in the center of the appellation making a truly accessible St-Estèphe. It shows beautiful open black fruit, a delicious wine and easy to drink - exactly what you're looking for from a Médoc by the glass: typicity and accessibility. " (Decanter 2018) The perfect example of a successful wine at an accessible price!

Wine Spectator
Rated (2017 guide) 89/100 (Very good wine)
About the wine:
It shows good ripeness and freshness, with notes of plum, redcurrant and cherry, enhanced by hints of lilac and violet. A mineral sensation lingers on the finish, where an echo of juniper is heard.
Wine Enthusiast
Wine rated (2017 guide) 92/100
About the wine:
The château owes its name to 18th-century founder Joseph Laffitte. The wine, from the heart of Saint-Estèphe, is ripe and spicy. With generous tannins and equally generous fruit, it is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, which gives it structure as well as juicy fruitiness. Drink this great wine from 2021.
Vert de Vin
Rated wine (guide 2017) 91/100 ( Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)
About the wine:
The nose is fruity, greedy and relatively intense. Notes of crunchy blackberry, wild strawberry and blackcurrant are combined with hints of wild berries, as well as fine notes of racy minerality, spices (hints of gray pepper, clove...), toasty oak and a very discreet hint of roasting. Fruity, soft and fleshy on the palate, with good density, lovely minerality, acidity, fatness, roundness and tension. On the palate, notes of juicy blackcurrant, blackberry and wild strawberry are combined with discreet hints of juicy wild berries, toasty oak, Bourbon vanilla and a very discreet touch of zan and tobacco. The tannins are fine and a little young (2018). Good length. Fine notes of saline minerality on the finish.
