"If you like gourmet style, this one is excellent ~ Decanter"
"Such a deep, concentrated nose, full of ripe blackcurrants and black cherries. Great intensity and concentration on the palate, some dark spice, licorice, black pepper and cinnamon notes on the edges, all accompanied by layers of juicy, succulent ripe fruit. Definitely a full, bold wine. Real power here, but elegant and energetic. If you like the gourmet style, this is an excellent one". (Decanter 2022) - Delivery in wooden case possible for orders of 12 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2020 guide) 93-94/100
Domaine rated (guide 2021) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the wine:
Beautiful fruit, broad texture and tasty, masterfully balanced tannin. As with Saint-Pierre, the woodiness seems even more precise and better blended than in the past, at the same stage. A classic Saint-Julien that will give pleasure to all wine-lovers, at an affordable and justified price.
About the domain :
Superbly situated in the commune of Saint-Julien-Beychevelle and surrounded by noble peers, Château Gloria today belongs to Jean-Louis Triaud and his wife, the daughter of Henri Martin, its "creator" (as does Château Saint-Pierre). This property has now fully recovered its qualities. The wines of Gloria have pure fruit and a supple structure, with great finesse of tannin. They are great classics of the appellation.

Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2021) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
This cru, which today covers 50 ha, was created ex nihilo from 1942 onwards by one of the vineyard's great figures, Henri Martin, who for years bought up parcels from grands crus classés in the center of Beychevelle, as well as to the west and north of the appellation. His daughter Françoise and her husband Jean-Louis Triaud, who ran Gloria and all of Domaines Martin, handed over the reins of their properties to their son Jean in 2016.

Domaine rated (guide 2021) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the domain :
Built up patiently, parcel by parcel, in the second half of the 20th century by Henri Martin, Gloria is one of the Médoc's strongest non-classified growth brands. This reputation is far from usurped, as the latest vintages testify. Always very full-bodied, colorful and concentrated, this cru has hardly been faulted in the last decade. It's aging harmoniously, but even the hardiest connoisseurs will enjoy drinking it from five years of age.

Domaine noté Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Wine Enthusiast)
About the wine:
Solid as a rock, with an appetizing structure of applewood and mesquite around a well-tiered core of blackcurrant, blackberry and plum. The finish has hints of tobacco and tar that add scope, but the real engine is a long iron bolt, giving it a retro feel. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Best from 2025 to 2038. - JM
Vinous A. Galloni
Wine rated (guide 2021) 94/100
About the wine:
Gloria 2019 represents classic Saint-Julien, offering scents of blackberry, wild hedge, cedar and tobacco. Perhaps a little conservative in style, but unashamedly so. The palate is medium-bodied, with fine, fairly firm tannins. Fresh and saline, it makes you salivate with a precise, persistent finish and leaves notes of graphite in the aftertaste. Excellent. 2025-2050
James Suckling
Wine rated (guide 2022) 94/100
About the wine:
Aromas of sweet berries, cherries, violets, followed by medium to full body with creamy, linear tannins and a long, savory finish. Tight and structurally organized. Try after 2027.
Le Figaro vins
Wine rated (guide 2022) 94/100
About the wine:
An opulent, solar nose, but with a certain restraint, an elegance due to these racy black fruits and tobacco notes. On the palate, the fruit takes over, shining like the sun of summer 2019, while remaining very fresh and salivating. This is followed by a tasty wave of tannins, "kitten's tongue", before beautiful bitters on the finish. Unexpected complexity for such an affordable wine.
Terre de Vins
Wine rated (2020 guide) 94-95/100
About the wine:
The nose is tightly focused on fresh blackcurrant, announcing a high density. From the outset, the attack is very lively, with acidity carrying the wine, but with plenty of substance. Blackcurrant and hints of mocha and blood orange remain. A classic Gloria of pleasure...

Floral, powerful, complex nose. Dense and long on the palate. A great wine at the right price.
