"A Talbot that excels in its ability to reconcile freshness and fruit! ~ Yves Beck "
"On a dapper fruit pulp, Talbot confirms its new style despite the prejudices of the vintage. The nose is pleasantly deep, more plunging than slender, but the palate takes us by surprise, biting, vertical, signed by a tonic, sharp juice, finely smoked on the finish. The wine stretches out in length and persistence, for our pleasure". Wine rated (guide 2022) 94-95/100
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the domain :
One of the Médoc's most justly popular estates, it is still owned by the Cordier family. It gives rise to an abundant production, which has gained in definition since 2014. For many, Talbot embodies the ideal saint-julien, generously bouqueted, very stable and sure to age. A lovely dry white wine, aromatic and nervous, continues to be produced under the caillou-blanc brand. The intelligent work, carried out with the help of Stéphane Derenoncourt in a skilfully modernized vat room and cellar, is bearing fruit.

Rated wine (guide 2022) 93/100
About the wine:
The nose is marked by spearmint and blackcurrant, as well as a magnificent perfume. Excellent intensity on an aroma of blackcurrant juice, without being fleshy, but rather linear and direct. The lightness of flavor is balanced by fine, just gripping tannins, which also offer hints of tobacco and roasted spice flavors. Overall, this is a delicate, well-crafted wine for the vintage, with gentle persistence of fruit and a lifted finish. It will undoubtedly become rounder with age, giving greater density to the bramble fruit, nicely presented and tinged with flowers. Elegance and class, a promising wine. 2024-2048

Wine rated (guide 2022) 94-95/100
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the wine:
The cru continues its fine series with a 2021 that possesses great charm and admirable silkiness on the palate. Beautiful texture and refined tannins: a great success.
About the domain :
This strong brand, rightly appreciated by connoisseurs, has made a strong comeback, now producing the wines we've come to expect. Equipped with modern, high-performance equipment and skilfully managed, Nancy Bignon-Cordier's vast vineyard, managed by Jean-Michel Laporte, is returning to the glory of its past, producing wines that are more subtle and refined than ever. A flamboyant wine, archetypal of the great classic Saint Julien.

About the wine:
Talbot's bouquet is fresh and fruity, with spicy nuances and hints of wild berries! On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with good acidity and compact tannins. A Talbot which excels in its ability to reconcile freshness and fruit, and which is not only promising but also convincing. It reveals itself slowly but surely! 2026-2051

Wine rated (guide 2022) 94/100
About the wine:
Deep purple color with violet highlights and black core. Elegant nose of juicy fruit, ripe blackcurrant and elderberry, with hints of plums in the background. On the palate, the wine is well structured, rather medium-bodied but very persistent, with notes of juicy fruit and sweet spices. A very elegant Talbot.
