"The charm of this safe bet works once again!
"What a level for Talbot's 2nd wine! Of course, it's well marked by its ageing through notes of roasting, but the bouquet also reveals nuances of dark berries. As the minutes go by, it's clearly the fruity notes that take over, and this continues right through to the finish. A structured, inviting and elegant wine! Wine rated (guide 2021) 92/100
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the domain :
One of the Médoc's most justly popular estates, it is still owned by the Cordier family. It gives rise to an abundant production, which has gained in definition since 2014. For many, Talbot embodies the ideal saint-julien, generously bouqueted, very stable and sure to age. A lovely dry white wine, aromatic and nervous, continues to be produced under the caillou-blanc brand. The intelligent work carried out with the help of Stéphane Derenoncourt in a skilfully modernized vat room and cellar is bearing fruit.

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the domain :
This strong brand, rightly appreciated by connoisseurs, has made a strong comeback, now making the wines we've come to expect from it. Equipped with modern, high-performance equipment and skilfully managed, Nancy Bignon-Cordier's vast vineyard, managed by Jean-Michel Laporte, is returning to the glory of its past, producing wines that are more subtle and refined than ever. A flamboyant wine, archetypal of the great classic Saint Julien.

Vert de Vin
Rated wine (guide 2023) 93-94/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)
About the wine:
The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is savory and aromatic. It begins with notes of smoke and roasted meat, evolving towards sweet spices with aeration (roasted vanilla, licorice, cinnamon, nutmeg). There are also notes of dense, ripe black fruit (crushed blackcurrant, blueberry, morello cherry, wild plum), red fruit (wild strawberry, raspberry jam), flowers (lily, dried blueberry, a touch of iris) and dried aromatic herbs (dried mint, rosemary). The palate is silky and round. Notes are fruity, slightly sweet (blackcurrant, crème de cassis, wild strawberry, raspberry jam), spicy (cinnamon, vanilla, licorice), chocolatey (cocoa, dark chocolate) and floral (violet, fresh blueberry). The tannins are mellow, velvety and very fine, while offering a fine structure to the wine. The finish is persistent, sweet and chocolatey, refreshed by a touch of chocolate mint and round but fresh acidity.
The Wine Cellar Insider - Jeff Leve
Rated wine (guide 2023) 90/100
About the wine:
A fresh, vibrant, silky bouquet for this medium-bodied wine on the palate, with notes of redcurrants and chalky cherries. It really came into its own during barrel ageing. Drink between 2023 and 2035.
