Château de Fargues

Château de Fargues is a benchmark for the Sauternes appellation. Run by the Lur-Saluces family, the estate covers 170 hectares, including 15 hectares of vineyards. The vines are rooted in sandy soil resting on gravelly subsoil, among the highest quality in the Sauternes AOC.

The Château de Fargues vineyard is planted with 80% Sémillon and 20% Sauvignon, and is cultivated with respect for the environment and the vines: manure from the estate, soil maintenance, no chemical weed control, and pruning of the vines to optimize yields. All these practices make Château de Fargues a must-try wine from the Sauternes AOC.
