"The "filet mignon" of Grèves, according to Frédéric Weber - the House's cellar master".
"The 2017 Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus shows well, floating from the glass with aromas of smoked cherry and blackberry that mingle with nuances of incense, spice and baked chocolate. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, velvety and supple, with a well-concentrated core of sapid fruit, succulent acids and a fairly long, harmonious finish. It's evolving very well since I tasted it in barrel at the beginning of December." Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated 17.5/20 (Reference wine)
Domaine rated (guide 2023) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the wine:
A little spicier and deeper (but you have to look!) than the magnificent Teurons that preceded it, great harmony of constitution, not yet fully awake.
About the domain :
From Les Cazetiers to Bouzeron, this major Beaune trading house, founded in 1731, owns over 142 parcels in 130 hectares of vineyards, including 73 hectares of premier and grand cru. This first-rate winegrowing heritage enables Fréderic Weber, a talented winemaker who was previously in charge of Château de Poncié, to produce around 600,000 bottles out of the total three million produced here each year, with most of the production coming from purchased grapes for the great reds, and carefully selected musts for the non-domain whites. Impressive success in both white and red wines in recent vintages.

Rated wine (2018 guide) 93/100
About the wine:
Bouchard Père's historic 4 ha parcel, at the center of this excellent premier cru, is the "filet mignon" of Grèves, according to Frédéric Weber. Owned by the négociant since 1791, this is an intense, aromatic and floral Pinot Noir, with 15% stems and 30% new oak, well supported by tannins and balanced acidity.

Wine rated (2019 guide) 94/100
About the wine:
This tight wine, with firm tannins, is still very young. With a background of dense black fruit and acidity, its potential is considerable. With this promise and richness, the wine needs aging.

About the wine:
A refined nose for Beaune, with notes of raspberry pastry and red cherry with a hint of violet blossom. Delicate, fine tannins on the palate, with great structural integrity. Length and balance are very convincing. Accessible red fruit on the finish.
