"Great wine!"

"Since Jeroboam. The Bouchards bought the site in 1791 and today own 3.92 ha. Fred Weber describes this vineyard as the "filet mignon" of Beaune-Grèves. As you'd expect from the age and size of the bottle, the primary characters are very dominant, but there's clearly huge potential here. As the wine breathes, beautiful aromas of raspberry, blackberry and violet develop. The palate is rich, ripe and pure black fruit, subtly oaky, full and concentrated, with silky tannins and vibrant acidity that provide the structure needed for long-term aging. A great vintage and a great Beaune Premier Cru". (Decanter 2022) - Delivery in wooden case possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected)

Domaine rated (guide 2023) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)

About the domain :

From Les Cazetiers to Bouzeron, this major Beaune trading house, founded in 1731, owns over 142 parcels in 130 hectares of vineyards, including 73 hectares of premier and grand cru. This first-rate winegrowing heritage enables Fréderic Weber, a talented winemaker who was previously in charge of Château de Poncié, to produce around 600,000 bottles out of the total three million produced here each year, with most of the production coming from purchased grapes for the great reds, and carefully selected musts for the non-domain whites. Impressive success in both white and red wines in recent vintages.

Domaine noté (guide 2022) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)

About the wine:

The 2019 Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus presents beautifully, bursting in the glass with scents of raspberry, warm spice, plum and incense. Medium- to full-bodied, sumptuous and enveloping, with a generous core of fruit and supple, melted tannins, it is immensely charming and indulgent. I can't remember an Enfant Jésus this good and this young.

About the wine:

What a fragrant nose of flowers, cherries, licorice and delicate spices! The medium-bodied palate is very elegant and lacy, with a breathtaking integration of fine fruit and fine tannins. Very silky, long and sensual finish. To drink or to keep.
