"The 2019 Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre opens in the glass with notes of pear, green apple, wet stones, iodine and fresh pastry. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's taut and concentrated, with bright acids and a long, saline finish. It comes from the Chapelot vineyards." (Wine Advocate 2021)

Domain Louis Michel & Fils
Chablis
Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domain rated 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
An old Chablis family, the Michel's cultivate the very best areas, both premier cru and grand cru. The estate is one of the very few to offer the Grenouilles Grand Cru, whose main producer is La Chablisienne. Since 1969, vinification has been carried out in stainless steel vats, so that the wines here often start off discreetly in bottle, but their minerality reveals itself without concern after a few years' cellaring.
