Domaine Lamy-Pillot
In 1973, René and Thérèse Lamy settled in the hamlet of Morgeot in Chassagne-Montrachet. They ran the vineyards and winery on their own.

All stages in the winemaking process are controlled by the estate. This ensures good management of the various parameters that have a direct or indirect influence on the quality of the wines. Domaine Lamy-Pillot wines.

Today, Domaine Lamy-Pillot covers 15 hectares of vines, spread over the communes of Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint Aubin, Santenay, Meursault and Beaune. The estate's workforce has expanded accordingly. Florence (René and Thérèse's youngest daughter) and her husband Sébastien joined Domaine Lamy-Pillot in 1998 to look after the vineyards. In 2004, Karine (Florence's elder sister) and her husband Daniel joined the family business to manage the marketing of Domaine Lamy-Pillot wines.

With this 2013 vintage, Domaine Lamy-Pillot reveals "the grace and finesse of Morgeot, all mineral lace and subtle length" ( Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2016 - RVF) Halfway between smoothness and tension, this well-balanced cuvée is a worthy representative of the cru.

Domaine Lamy-Pillot - Pot Bois 2013

14/20 Bettane & Desseauve

The Pots Bois vines are grown on very draining, stony soils. As a result, this wine has vigor, tonicity and a notable iodine freshness. The most mineral of Domaine Lamy-Pillot's cuvées.

The low yields of the 2012 vintage have produced a Chassagne-Montrachet blanc of fine aromatic concentration. With aromas of white flowers such as acacia and hawthorn, accompanied by a touch of butter, it will keep well in the cellar and develop honeyed notes.

2*Coup de Coeur Hachette

"If whites are tending to supplant reds in Chassagne, it's a pinot noir that puts this estate in the middle of the Morgeot vineyards in the limelight, for a wine made from a plot adjoining the winery. The jurors praised the wine's deep purple color, its intense nose with hints of ripe cherry and blackcurrant, and its frank, generous attack, which opens onto a fleshy, well-structured palate: all the assets needed for happy aging". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2016)

Produced from the vines closest to the estate, Premier Cru Morgeot rouge 2013 gives off lovely notes of fresh red fruit. It is above all this freshness that characterizes this cuvée with its silky tannic structure.

Domaine Lamy-Pillot - 1er Cru La Grande Montagne 2013

"Grande Montagne concentrates more of its substance, including an acidity that nicely lengthens the wine." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2016 - RVF) It's thanks to an abrupt, high-altitude, rocky terroir that this Premier Cru displays this beautiful mineral tension. It is the perfect accompaniment to gourmet dishes based on noble fish or shellfish.
