Jancis Robinson
"Citrus fruits and flowers are hinted at, and the palate is escorted by buttery aromas where roundness and warmth come together to form an integral sphere. The fruity touch on the nose is identical on the palate. A grand cru that well deserves its name". Bettane & Desseauve
Rated 19/20 (Wine of exceptional quality)
Domaine rated (guide 2023) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the wine:
Extraordinarily well-developed tangerine fruit, great concentration, rich, flavorful intensity, very great potential, intense depth, energetic persistence.
About the domain :
From Les Cazetiers to Bouzeron, this major Beaune trading house, founded in 1731, owns over 142 parcels in 130 hectares of vineyards, including 73 hectares of Premier and Grand Cru. This first-rate winegrowing heritage enables Fréderic Weber, a talented winemaker who was previously in charge of Château de Poncié, to produce around 600,000 bottles out of the total three million produced here each year, with most of the production coming from purchased grapes for the great reds, and carefully selected musts for the non-domain whites. Impressive success in both white and red wines in recent vintages.

About the wine:
Citrus fruits and flowers are smelled, and the palate is escorted by buttery aromas where roundness and warmth come together to form an integral sphere. The fruity touch on the nose is identical on the palate. A grand cru worthy of its name.
