"Great color, excellent vinosity, firm tannins, still in its infancy but certainly from a carefully ripened and sorted harvest." (Le Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France 2014). A wine that develops aromas of fresh fruit and red berries, with delicate, elegant tannins.

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (guide 2021) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)

About the domain :

Run by the Devillard family, who also own Château de Chamirey in Mercurey, the vineyard is located on remarkable terroirs in the south of the Côte de Nuits, and its production is vinified in the spirit of modern wines, seeking high grape maturity and deep, voluptuous textures. The results have been convincing in recent years, starting with the communal appellations, with very fine juices when we knew them to be rather solid. All the possible fullness of 2018 has been captured here, and these will be wines for laying down, or even very long laying down for the nuits and the échezeaux. Also a lovely red Burgundy.
