Echezeaux
Parcels of Echezeaux Grand Cru are planted on clay-limestone soils with east-southeast exposure at an altitude of between 240 and 340 meters. Generally speaking, wines from this appellation can be enjoyed fairly young, but their dense texture and tight grain develop their full potential after 4 to 5 years of cellaring. Made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes, Echezeaux Grand Cru red wines have aromas of violet and cherry.
The Echezeaux appellation is synonymous with exceptional terroirs sublimated by the work of estates offering excellent vintages, such as Domaine de la Perdrix, Domaine Charlopin-Parizot, Domaine Méo-Camuzet and Domaine de la Romanée-Conti.
