Expert opinion

Rated domain (guide 2025) 3*Stars (High-quality production that sets the standard in its sector)
About the domain :
Located in Givry, this small 2.5-hectare estate is run by the Devillard family, who also own Château de Chamirey. It comprises 3 parcels, two in the village appellation, including Clos Mortière, and one in the Premier Cru Servoisine. The vines are cultivated using sustainable methods, under the guidance of Enrico Peyron, with manual harvesting and long ageing. The plots are located close to each other and in excellent positions within the appellation. Quantities are limited, but produced with the same care as the estate's mercureys.

About the domain :
This estate owes its name to the Abbey of La Ferté, the first daughter of the Abbey of Cîteaux, built in the early 7th century. Cultivated by Cistercian monks until the French Revolution, the 2.4 ha estate was taken over in 1995 by Bertrand Devillard (Ch. de Chamirey, Dom. des Perdrix).
