Domaine rated (guide 2023) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the domain :
From Les Cazetiers to Bouzeron, this major Beaune trading house, founded in 1731, owns over 142 parcels in 130 hectares of vineyards, including 73 hectares of Premier and Grand Cru. This first-rate winegrowing heritage enables Fréderic Weber, a talented winemaker who was previously in charge of Château de Poncié, to produce around 600,000 bottles out of the total three million produced here each year, with most of the production coming from purchased grapes for the great reds, and carefully selected musts for the non-domain whites. Impressive success in both white and red wines in recent vintages.

Surprisingly already quite full-bodied for a wine of this age, but I think it needs to be forgotten in the cellar for another year or two to reach its full potential. For the price, it's an excellent choice not to be missed.

Bottle opened the day before for lunch. Wine completely corked! Very, very acidic taste, even if you can guess the fruit! Too bad, hoping it won't do so on the second bottle purchased. Second bottle drunk but too young, can wait another 2/3 years. A light, slightly fruity wine.
