Domaine Colinot
Visit Domaine Colinot is located in the Irancy appellation area, some fifteen kilometers from the Chablis vineyards. The Colinot family has been active in the world of Irancy wine for ten generations: Léontine Colinot was one of the first women to work in the vineyards during the First World War.

Today, this 12-hectare farm is run by Jean-Pierre Colinot, Léontine's grandson, and his wife Anita.
After two BTS in business and viticulture-oenology at the Lycée Viticole de Beaune, their daughter Stéphanie has been in charge of vinification since the 2001 vintage.

The Domaine Colinot vineyard is made up of young and old vines, cultivated using sustainable methods, in keeping with the different Burgundian climates. Domaine Colinot produces 9 Irancy cuvées: Vieilles Vignes, Boudardes, Veaupessiot, Côte du Moutier, Les Cailles, Les Mazelots, Palotte, Très Vieilles Vignes and Soufflot.

"The 2013 cuvée Soufflot, made from pinot noir alone, is the same barrel as the 2012 version, earning Stéphanie Colinot a second Favorite in two years. A consecration for the young winemaker, who has practiced a perfectly controlled eighteen-month barrel ageing process. The wine's velvety color is immediately seductive. Spices spice up a racy nose with hints of violets and red fruit. The palate is equally complex, with a frank attack, rich, dense, powerful and fine at the same time. Be patient a little longer with this bottle, which combines elegance and character, built for ageing". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2017)
