1er cru

"The elegance of Pinot Noir".

We are the first in France to market this new cuvée. A blend of several premier crus, this Maranges 1er cru offers a dazzling nose, with aromas of red fruit and blackcurrant. On the palate, all the elegance of Pinot Noir is expressed, with fine, delicate tannins revealing a superb body, dense and flattering. This cuvée will reveal its full potential within 3 years, and can be kept for up to 10 years.

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (guide 2021) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)

About the domain :

Bertrand Bachelet, a young winemaker since 2011, heads up this 13-hectare estate spread from Maranges to Pommard. Sustainable viticulture and cordon de Royat are de rigueur here, as are massal selections developed on the estate's oldest vines. A range characterized by wines with ripe, intense fruit. The reds, which account for the vast majority of production, are vinified de-stemmed in concrete vats and boast silky tannins, while the whites, without bâtonnage, offer roundness and juicy, honeyed orchard fruit aromas.
