With small yields due to the difficult climatic conditions of 2012, Château de Mercey has succeeded in producing a quality Maranges Premier Cru here. Lots of black fruit on the nose and palate, enhanced by smoky notes. In 2015, this wine stood out from nearly 900 others at the Burgondia 2015 competition.

The grapes are 100% destemmed. Vatting lasts 20 days. Maceration and fermentation take place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Daily punching down and pumping over according to the progress of alcoholic fermentation.
