RVF (G&M)
15/20
Bettane & Desseauve
With its golden color and green highlights, this Montagny 1er Cru is dominated on the nose by floral notes that gradually evolve into honey and dried fruit (hazelnut). The palate offers beautiful fullness, where the power of the Chaniots, combined with its richness, make it a fine and elegant wine with very good aging potential... An opportunity not to be missed!

Food and wine pairings
This fine, powerful, and elegant wine pairs wonderfully with caramelized prawns, and generally with grilled white fish, oven-roasted Charolais veal, and roast Bresse poultry, as well as cheeses (goat cheese, aged Comté, or Parmesan).

About the estate:
The Cave des Vignerons de Buxy, founded in 1931, currently has 342 members covering 1,164 hectares in the Côte Chalonnaise and Mâconnais regions and produces 75% of the wines from the Montagny appellation. The grouping together of a multitude of small family farms has enabled the creation of an efficient production tool, which is committed to a genuine approach to quality winemaking and production (Vignerons en Développement Durable). All of the wines presented in our blind tastings are of very respectable quality, demonstrating that the wine cooperative in the Côte Chalonnaise is active and capable of promoting its appellations. The value for money is extremely attractive for Burgundy.
