Robert Parker
"The 2013 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Perdrix has a seductive bouquet of wild strawberry and raspberry jam, appreciable definition and purity, while gaining in intensity after turning the glass a few times. The palate is soft on the attack, fleshy and supple, more straightforward than its peers but balanced and displaying good substance through to the finish." (Wine Advocate 2016 - Robert Parker)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2017 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)
Domaine rated (guide 2021) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the wine:
Strong color and structure, perhaps a little too strong, great future, a "modern" type of wine but with all the spicy flower notes of the terroir.
About the domain :
Run by the Devillard family, who also own Château de Chamirey in Mercurey, the vineyard is located on remarkable terroirs in the south of the Côte de Nuits, and its production is vinified in the spirit of modern wines, seeking high grape maturity and deep, voluptuous textures. The results have been convincing in recent years, starting with the communal appellations, with very fine juices when we knew them to be rather solid. All the possible fullness of 2018 has been captured here, and these will be wines for laying down, or even very long laying down for the nuits and the échezeaux. Also a lovely red Burgundy.
