"A ripe, fleshy Chardonnay that will gain amplitude with time. Racy with good minerality and freshness, finishing on lively chalk and good persistence. Give it a little time and it'll be a welcome addition". (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2021 - RVF)

Wine rated (guide 2021) 16.5/20 (Very good wine)
Domaine rated (2024 guide) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winegrowers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
Blond oak still present, a ripe, fleshy Chardonnay that will gain amplitude with time. Racy, with good minerality and freshness, it finishes on lively chalk and good persistence. Give it a little time and it will be a welcome addition.
About the domain :
Claire and Fabio Gazeau-Montrasi took over this historic family estate in 1995. Certified organic since 2005, it consists mainly of Chardonnay vines in Fuissé and a parcel in Saint-Amour. All the estate's whites are aged for almost two years, giving them a natural patina, enriching them and enhancing their complexity. Due to exposure and altitude, the Pouilly-Fuissé wines have not been classified as Premier Crus, but the enlightened wine-lover will not care. The quality of the latest wines on offer puts the domaine on the verge of a second star!
