Gault & Millau

(2014 Vintage ratings)

In a gourmet 2015 vintage, Rully rouge reveals its refined berry aromas. On the palate, we find the freshness so characteristic of Côte Chalonnaise wines, with an elegant, fine grain of tannin. The finish is long, fine and fruity, with a hint of candied fruit. Excellent value for money!

Domaine rated (2022 guide) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, because of their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About the domain :

The house is now run by Frédéric Drouhin, supported by his sister Véronique for the wines and his brother Philippe in the vineyards. In July 2013, it opened an oenotheque in the heart of Beaune. It has found its cruising speed and is establishing itself as a safe bet. The house relies on a biodynamic vineyard particularly well endowed with great whites, in Côte-de-Beaune but also in Chablis (wines sold under the Drouhin-Vaudon brand), including the famous Clos des Mouches.
