About the wine:
On the nose, a big bowl of redcurrants and blueberries on an elegantly toasted background. The fruit insists on a fleshy, consistent palate, hemmed in by supple tannins, perfumed from start to finish. Charming now, with good prospects for the cellar.
About the domain :
This ancient estate, which dates back to the 18th century, now covers 24 hectares. It is run by Roger Belland, who set up in 1981, his daughter Julie, who joined in 2003 and is in charge of vinification, and their new collaborator Martin Boyer. Not certified organic here, but viticulture raisonnée (total grassing of the vineyard, no weedkillers), and wines of great consistency.
