Domaine Roger Belland

Roger Belland represents the fifth generation to run the family estate, located south of the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy, whose vineyards cover 24 hectares, mainly located in the best premier and grand cru vineyards of the villages of Santenay, Maranges, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Volnay, and Pommard.

With a policy resolutely focused on the production of high-end, quality wines, the professional press is full of praise for Domaine Roger Belland, as evidenced by the numerous articles published in specialist magazines and guides (La Revue du Vin de France, Guide Hachette, Gault Millau, Bettane & Dessauve, etc.).

The Domaine Roger Belland vineyard is managed using sustainable methods, with a strong focus on vineyard work, including short pruning, rigorous debudding, and total grass cover between the rows. Thanks to these practices, Domaine Roger Belland generally does not need to resort to extreme solutions such as green harvesting. The vines, with an average age of 45 years, and the south-southeast orientation of the hillside allow for the production of high-quality grapes with yields limited to 40 hl/ha, which are carefully harvested and sorted by hand in the vineyard. Rigorous and meticulous work ensures that each cuvée is worthy of being characterized as a great Burgundy wine.
