" Le Désir 2013 is the sweetest of the three wines in 2013, and the blend of 61% Cabernet Franc, 23% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec stands out with more than half the cuvée coming from Alexander Valley hillsides, 37% from Chalk Hill and the rest from Bennett Valley and Knights Valley. Opaque purple, like its brothers, this wine reveals incredible notes of flowers, blueberries and coffee, exotic spices, a velvety, supple, structured texture and an incredible finish of incense and licorice. This is a magnificent wine, young, with good aging potential of 40-50 years. Justifiably, Pierre Seillan is proud of what he's achieved, and the first vintage of Vérité was only 1998, but they go from strength to strength."
