"A vibrant Grand Cru!
After a makeover, this vintage Grand Cru cuvée is now called Les Grandes Terres. "The Grand Cru vines of the Côte des Blancs are the source of this rich, full-flavored Champagne. With its relatively high dosage, it has a ripe, generously textured character. The acidity and intense textured minerality are still very much present. Drink now. (Wine Enthusiast 2021)

About the domain :
The first in the line cultivated vines in 1829. In the 1990s, the Colin brothers, Richard and Romain, left the cooperative to launch their own champagne business. They have 11 hectares of vines, mainly in the Côte des Blancs, with parcels in the Sézannais and Marne valleys.
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Domain rated 1*Star (Serious production)
About the domain :
Here in Vertus, winegrowing has been handed down from father to son since 1829, yet it's the women who are behind the vineyard, now run by Richard and Romain Colin. They manage a 10-hectare vineyard located in the Premier and Grand Cru of the Côte des Blancs. Their passion for vines and wine began with Geneviève Prieur and Marie Louise Radet, their grandmothers, who had both inherited vines from their parents.

About the domain :
Here's a relatively discreet Côte des Blancs house where two brothers produce very fine cuvées, marked by the typicality of their terroir. A wonderful discovery. As the festive season approaches, it's always the same question. Which champagne to choose to celebrate New Year's Eve in style? Some will turn to the big Houses, others will venture more towards independent winegrowers. But the choice is vast, and it's not always easy to find your way around. In addition to the stars, whose wines are often hard to find (and, above all, hard to find at what price), there are a number of enthusiasts who offer some very fine cuvées that are sure to provide some fine wine emotions. Among them are the Colin brothers, Richard and Romain, who in 1997 brought about an unprecedented turnaround in the family business, which has owned vines since... 1829! Until then, like many of their neighbors, 6 successive generations of winegrowers had succeeded one another, bringing quality raw material to the local cooperatives of Vertus and Bergères-lès-Vertus, in the south of the Côte des Blancs. Then, the desire to produce their own cuvées led them to leave this system and become winegrowers. The result is a beautifully homogeneous range of champagnes that are well-defined, balanced and full of emotion.
