"Dom Perignon 2006 comes from a very rich vintage with an early ripening that brought a lot of aromatic maturity. The white-gold prestige cuvée contains slightly more chardonnay than pinot noir and opens with a deep, seductive nose, rather accessible with intense but fresh aromas of pineapple, peach and tangerine. Lively and elegant on the palate, this is a full-bodied, exceptionally aromatic and fruity Dom Pérignon with a long, tension-laden expression" (Wine Advocate 2016 - Robert Parker).

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated (2017 guide) 18.5/20 (Wine of exceptional quality)
Domaine rated (2025 guide) 5*Stars (Outstanding producers, those who represent the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and the world)
About the domain :
Dom Pérignon is the most widely distributed and therefore best-known prestige wine in the world from Champagne . The emotions it arouses come first and foremost from the extraordinary quality of the hundreds of hectares of Grand Cru that form the inimitable core of its blends. The surgical expertise of the house and its cellar master Vincent Chaperon ensures an ideal balance between Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Both white and rosé undergo an original ageing process, with different temporal phases (called plenitudes) offering taste characteristics as brilliant as they are different. Work is underway in Hautvilliers, the cradle of the cuvée, to reconstitute the historic cellar of Dom Pérignon, who would certainly be proud of the current wines.

About the domain :
The prestige champagne par excellence, named in homage to the "father of champagne". In charge of the vineyard and cellar at Hautvillers Abbey, Dom Pérignon, who is credited with inventing the méthode champenoise, demonstrated his mastery of the art of blending that makes great cuvées. After 28 years with the house and fifteen vintages, his distant successor, Vertusian Richard Geoffroy, handed over the reins in 2019 to Vincent Chaperon, who had worked alongside him for thirteen years. Dom Pérignon is always vintage. Its composition remains a secret, and each vintage is a creation. The most we know is that it uses Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims Grands Crus, as well as from Hautvillers (1ercru), in memory of Dom Pérignon.

Wine rated (2017 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)
Domaine rated (2025 guide) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, because of their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the wine:
The 2006 is exuberant to the extreme, and very full-bodied. Aficionados of the brand will be delighted. It already seems ready to drink, with a hint of honey on the nose and palate.
About the domain :
It's been several years now since Richard Geoffroy handed over the reins of the house to Vincent Chaperon, who is now in charge of keeping the legend alive. With its unique style, impressive consistency and volumes that enable it to be distributed worldwide, "Dom Pé" is more than just a champagne brand: it's an emblem of French luxury and a formidable driving force for the entire region. Whether or not you're a fan of its unmistakable taste, with its delicate buttery and toasty notes, Dom Pérignon remains an essential reference.
