"This cuvée reflects Dom Pérignon's perfect balance, its finest promise of elegance and delicacy.
Its precise, elegant bouquet unfurls a delicate, aromatic flavor with three nuances: citrus, a more herbal facet, and spices. This precision reveals an elegance where the wine, after an airy attack, amplifies.

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (guide 2024) 98/100
Domaine rated (guide 2025) 5*Stars (Outstanding producers, those who represent the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and the world)
About the domain :
Dom Pérignon is the most widely distributed and therefore best-known prestige Champagne in the world. The emotions it arouses stem first and foremost from the extraordinary quality of the hundreds of hectares of Grand Cru that form the inimitable core of its blends. The surgical expertise of the house and its cellar master Vincent Chaperon ensures an ideal balance between Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Both white and rosé undergo an original ageing process, with different temporal phases (called plenitudes) offering taste characteristics as brilliant as they are different. Work is underway in Hautvilliers, the cradle of the cuvée, to reconstitute the historic cellar of Dom Pérignon, who would certainly be proud of the current wines.

About the wine:
Silky, tightly sculpted and serene, the Dom Pérignon 2013 is less hedonistic than the 2012 (and less intensely energetic than the 2008), but it already presents a fine middle ground between tension and expressiveness. Orange fruits - apricots, mangoes and oranges - rub shoulders with bright lemon syrup and delicate red fruits. The palate is very detailed and long, with the smoky character characteristic of Dom Pérignon. The pleasure is immediate, but cellar ageing will allow the inner complexity to blossom, revealing this to be one of the finest Dom Pérignon wines of recent years.

About the domain :
The prestige champagne par excellence, named in homage to the "father of champagne". In charge of the vineyard and cellar at Hautvillers Abbey, Dom Pérignon, who is credited with inventing the méthode champenoise, demonstrated his mastery of the art of blending that makes great cuvées. After 28 years with the house and fifteen vintages, his distant successor, Vertusian Richard Geoffroy, handed over the reins in 2019 to Vincent Chaperon, who had worked alongside him for thirteen years. Dom Pérignon is always vintage. Its composition remains a secret, and each vintage is a creation. The most we know is that it uses Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims Grands Crus, as well as from Hautvillers (1ercru), in memory of Dom Pérignon.

About the wine:
Tasted in October 2022, Dom Pérignon 2013 is a charming, elegant vintage for this cuvée. It reveals complex aromas of buttery pastry, spices, citrus oil, almonds, honey and, on aeration, a touch of smoke. The palate is medium to full-bodied, perfectly balanced, with a chiseled, tight profile. The long, cool growing season brought freshness and a delicate earthy note on the finish.

Wine rated (guide 2024) 95/100
Domaine rated (guide 2025) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the wine:
A vintage that's easy to read from the first expressions, without being padlocked. It fits this fresh profile, with orchard fruit, gunflint and toasted reduction. A fresh style that has evolved slowly. The juice is long on the palate, with a restrained but not austere mid-palate. The wine evolves slowly on this balance, the fine acid and mineral support giving it good length.
About the domain :
It's been several years now since Richard Geoffroy handed over the reins of the house to Vincent Chaperon, who is now in charge of keeping the legend alive. With its unique style, impressive consistency and volumes that enable it to be distributed worldwide, "Dom Pé" is more than just a champagne brand: it's an emblem of French luxury and a formidable driving force for the entire region. Whether or not you're a fan of its unmistakable taste, with its delicate buttery and toasty notes, Dom Pérignon remains an unmistakable benchmark.

Rated 94/100
About the wine:
The 2013 Dom Pérignon is quite delicate and discreet. It reminds me of the 2004, but with a little more richness on the mid-palate and a little less energy. Apricot, mandarin peel, white flowers, jasmine, mint and light honey notes intermingle. The vinous intensity and openness of the 2013 make it a delicious wine to enjoy today.

About the wine:
Fragrance of apple, green mango, perfume and honeysuckle. Medium-bodied, with a creamy, integrated texture and subtle finish. Bittersweet. Intense. Drink or cellar.
