"A phenomenal red with aromas of blackberry, licorice, sandalwood and warm stones that develop into notes of cigar box and tea. Full-bodied, with incredible complexity and concentration, there's also agility and playfulness in this wine. Long, fascinating and balanced. It speaks to you. The best Sena ever (oenologist and owner agree). There's a wonderful purity and elegance here. Made from biodynamically grown grapes." (James Suckling 2014)

Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Rated (2014 guide) 92/100 (Outstanding wine)
Domain rated Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
Sena 2012 comes from a cool vineyard on a rocky hillside with clay, in the middle of the Aconcagua Valley, where the influence of the Pacific Ocean is always present. This wine has always been a blend, and in 2012 it's Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Lively and straightforward, with aromas of red fruits, this is also a wine with a brilliant color. It presents notes of ripe black fruit and balsamic notes in the form of tobacco and cedar. The palate is fleshy, with good acidity and freshness and sophisticated, polished, fine tannins. This is still a young wine, but its silky texture makes it drinkable now, although complexity should come with time.

About the wine:
Dark purple. Sweet, elegant, ripe Cabernet. No hint of under-ripeness. Nice balance. Just a hint of hardness, but really well-crafted.
