"Very expressive!"

"Complex, with a savory, spicy character, showing tobacco, salty plums, olives, black cherries, cassis and a hint of white pepper on the nose, followed by a refined, balsamic accent. A full-bodied Seña, with juicy fruit chiseled by tight, extremely fine tannins. Long, bright and elegant in this warm vintage. A wine with lots of harmony now, but best drunk from 2025." (James Suckling 2022) - Ranked 98th out of 100 of the world's best wines tasted in 2022 by James Suckling - Delivery in wooden case possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected)

Wine rated (2022 guide) 95/100

About the wine:

Beautiful expression of fruit, clean and well-defined, but also beautifully textured, concentrated, suave and round. It's full of ripe, sweet, juicy fruit, with a chalky, creamy texture supported by lifted acidity. The wine is bold and clearly powerful with depth of ripe blackcurrants, black cherries, plums and raspberries as well as notes of fresh-cut flowers, herbs and sweet spices; rosemary, violets and cinnamon. The tannins are fine and well integrated. This wine seems well crafted with finesse. Beautifully expressive - I like the style, everything seems very careful and focused. 2025 - 2043

Rated (guide 2022) 97/100 (Extraordinary wine)

Domain rated Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)

About the wine:

It's subtle and layered, not only in terms of fruit but also spice; it has polished tannins and very well-integrated oak after 22 months in barrel, 78% of which are new, and with 10% of the volume in large Stockinger casks. The warmer years seem to be well managed, so that this is not reflected in ripeness but is more a question of texture and tannin quality. In warmer years, such as 2017 or 2019, the wines have a little more grip, but these are definitely finer than the 2017 vintage. This wine has intensity and complexity, with no minty or herbaceous notes; it's spicy and juicy, with energy and depth. It has the structure, color, substance and acidity to develop well in bottle.

Wine rated (2022 guide) 94/100

About the wine:

Seña 2020 was made in another hot, early year, further complicated by COVID pandemic restrictions, which hampered decision-making in the vineyard. A blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Malbec, 15% Carménère and 7% Petit Verdot, it was aged for 22 months, 90% in French barrels and the rest in foudres. Garnet-red and purplish, the intense, ripe nose presents notes of herbs, blackcurrant and plum, while on the palate, the rich balance gives a gentle impulse channeled by firm but restrained tannins. Juicy and relaxed, with nuanced flavors, it will improve with bottle. 2026 - 2043
