Corsica
The AOC Vin de Corse is a regional appellation which may be supplemented in certain cases by certain village appellations. Strictly speaking, the AOC Vin de Corse concerns only the vineyards of the eastern part of the island of beauty.

The Vin de Corse region backs onto rocky ridges whose terroirs create an infinite palette of exceptionally well-oriented vineyards. The orientation of the vines towards the east favors the quality of the grape varieties. The surface area of the terroir of Corsican wines allows annual production of around 7,000 hectolitres of wine. The AOC Vin de Corse covers red, rosé and white wines.

From this mineral universe, Vin de Corse is made in the great Corsican tradition, and presents a complex aromatic register exhaling perfumes and flavors, whose originality is always much sought-after. Among the Vin de Corse producers, Domaine Renucci and Domaine Clos Poggiale are particularly noteworthy.

Clos Poggiale blanc is made from 100% Vermentino grapes, grown at low yields, with few bunches per vine, perfectly concentrating all the potential that plants can accumulate. This white reveals a nose of great aromatic finesse, with citrus aromas (citron) and notes of wild maquis flowers. A bite-sized piece of Corsica!

Note : Guide Hachette 2**(remarkable wine)
"Born of the marriage of love between niellucciu and syrah, this red presents itself in a dark, elegant suit. Its nose of ripe red berries from the maquis heralds a full, long palate with silky tannins". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2010). "One of the flagships of the Skalli family's reds...its value for money should put to shame many of the pretentious vintages from the south of the continent that disgrace the menus of luxury restaurants in the same sector." (Bettane & Desseauve for Le Monde 2).
