Sant Armettu Estate
Sartène
Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
4-star rated estates (top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the domain :
Gilles Seroin produces Sartène's most consistent wines, benefiting from old vines and an innate sense of balance in winemaking. He makes terroir-driven cuvées on 40 hectares, favoring old grape varieties. His estate is the most northerly in the appellation, near Propriano in the Baracci valley, surrounded by olive groves and overlooking the Gulf of Valinco. The latest vintages confirm the winemaker's talent, with a faultless record in all three colors and wines of a complexity that equals the best. The children have now joined the adventure.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine rated (guide 2023) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the domain :
The Saint-Ermite estate (which, according to legend, healed with plants) occupies slopes overlooking the Gulf of Propriano. Gilles Seroin built his winery in 1996 and is currently undergoing organic certification. This passionate and engaging winegrower is gifted with great talent as a winemaker and breeder, and is now joined by his children Jeanne and Guillaume. In all three colors, the wines have progressed well, showing themselves to be sincere and generous, and the domaine now joins the pack of the best on the island of Beauty: amply deserved, the first star came last year to reward these efforts.
