"Immediate pleasure!

"In a very fine, floral profile, precise and uncluttered, this tandem (Vermentinu and a little Biancu Gentile) works well. Lively, fresh, granite-like on the palate, with lovely mineral bitters." (RVF July-August 2023)

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

4-star rated estates (top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)

About the domain :

Gilles Seroin produces Sartène's most consistent wines, benefiting from old vines and an innate sense of balance in winemaking. He makes terroir-driven cuvées on 40 hectares, favoring old grape varieties. His estate is the most northerly in the appellation, near Propriano in the Baracci valley, surrounded by olive groves and overlooking the Gulf of Valinco. The latest vintages confirm the winemaker's talent, with a faultless record in all three colors and wines of a complexity that equals the best. The children have now joined the adventure.

Wine rated (guide 2023) 92/100

Domaine rated (guide 2023) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the wine:

In a very fine, floral profile, precise and pure, this tandem (Vermentinu and a little Biancu Gentile) works well. Invigorating, fresh and granite-like on the palate, with lovely mineral bitters.

About the domain :

The Saint-Ermite estate (which, according to legend, healed with plants) occupies slopes overlooking the Gulf of Propriano. Gilles Seroin built his winery in 1996 and is currently undergoing organic certification. This passionate and engaging winegrower is gifted with great talent as a winemaker and breeder, and is now joined by his children Jeanne and Guillaume. In all three colors, the wines have progressed well, showing themselves to be sincere and generous, and the domaine now joins the pack of the best on the island of Beauty: amply deserved, the first star came last year to reward these efforts.
